Meet our founder
Ashok Dias
Raised on the island of Sri Lanka, where tea is woven into the fabric of daily life, Ashok developed a deep respect for the leaf and the role it plays beyond the cup. Rooted in a third-generation lineage of tea merchants, his upbringing instilled a profound appreciation for tea as both craft and culture.
After years working alongside specialty coffee roasters (a culture that placed real emphasis on preparation, service and provenance), the contrast became clear. Tea, despite its depth and history, was too often treated with far less consideration. Tea Drop was his answer.
